Pre-Admission Pilot Eligibility Checklist
Becoming a pilot requires meeting strict legal, educational, and medical criteria set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Section A: Educational & Legal Eligibility
Age Requirement: I am at least 17 years old (to begin ground classes) or will be 18+ by the time I apply for my commercial license
Academic Foundation: I have passed my 10+2 (or equivalent board exam) explicitly with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects
Nationality & Identity: I hold a valid Indian Passport or an Aadhaar Card with matching name/DOB details across all my educational certificates
Language Proficiency: I am fluent in writing, reading, and speaking English, as it is mandatory for radio communication and DGCA theory examinations
Section B: Medical & Physical Fitness (DGCA Standards)
Basic Physical Health: I do not have a history of major underlying medical conditions such as epilepsy, severe cardiovascular issues, or clinical psychiatric disorders
Vision & Eye Health: My vision is either perfectly 6/6, or can be corrected to 6/6 using spectacles/contact lenses, and I have no signs of color blindness.
Hearing & ENT Stability: I have normal conversational hearing thresholds and no chronic sinus blockage issues that could impair ear pressure equalization while flying
