The Essentials:

  • Minimum Age: 17 years to join training; 18 years for license issuance.

  • Educational Baseline: 10+2 passed with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board (or equivalent certification).

  • Open Schooling / Non-Science Tracks: If you completed your 10+2 without Physics or Math, you can clear these subjects externally via the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) to become fully eligible.

eGCA Registration & Computer Number

Your DGCA Computer Number is your unique, permanent identification number issued by the Central Examination Organisation (CEO). Without it, you cannot register for or sit any official pilot exams. Consider this analogous to your class roll No./PAN/Aadhaar.

The Essentials:

  • Applications are submitted online through the centralized eGCA portal, followed by fulfilling the current offline physical verification guidelines mandated by the board..

  • There is no requirement of an agent or broker for any submission to DGCA via these portals.
